When to use it
Use it whenever you or someone acting for you plans to walk a vacant lot, especially in heat, brush, standing water, poor cellular coverage, or after storms.
How to use it
- Review weather and tropical conditions before leaving.
- Tell someone where you are going and when you expect to return.
- Prepare water, charged communications, offline parcel references, protective clothing, insect protection, and basic first aid.
- The readiness gauge updates automatically as checklist items change.
- Use Refresh Field Readiness only as a manual fallback.
- Do not enter flooded, posted, unsafe, clearly inaccessible, or neighboring property without permission.
What the result means
The checklist helps identify preparation gaps before a field visit.
Important limitation
A high checklist score does not mean a property is safe. Conditions can change, hidden hazards exist, and serious injuries or emergencies require 911 or prompt medical care.
